Chelsea fan Jake Sawyer enjoyed an exclusive experience as part of Chelsea Foundation’s matchday wish at the recent home fixture against Leicester City.
Jake was a VIP guest of the club and, alongside stepdad Scott and family friend Stephen, was first to greet the Chelsea squad as they got off the team bus at Stamford Bridge.
After this, Jake was hosted for lunch in the press room before heading out to pitchside to watch the players warm up.
A further surprise lay in store as Jake enjoyed a meet and greet with Malo Gusto and Marcus Bettinelli before kick-off.
The Leicester game was Jake’s first-ever time at Stamford Bridge and he watched on from the famous Shed End as the Blues secured a 1-0 win.
Speaking about his day, Jake said: ‘It was incredible and overwhelming, I wasn’t expecting to be so close to them as they got off the bus, it was unbelievable, I really enjoyed it.’
‘To be so close to the pitch and see the warm-up is amazing, I can’t believe that I got to do this, I am going to be buzzing about this for a while, thank you Chelsea Foundation!’
