Reece James’ last-gasp free-kick against Bournemouth has been voted the Chelsea Goal of the Month for January.

With 51 per cent of the votes cast, Chelsea supporters chose James’ strike as our best in the first month of 2025 out of the ten superb goals shortlisted.

The Blues were 2-1 behind at the Bridge when, deep into stoppage time, James whipped a perfect set-piece into the net via the inside of the right-hand post. Our skipper’s first Premier League goal since August 2022 was worthy of earning us a late point against the Cherries.

He has previously won the award for goals against Brighton (September 2020) and Newcastle (October 2021).

Cole Palmer’s goal against Crystal Palace finished in second place, receiving a 20 per cent share of the vote.

Tosin Adarabioyo’s rocket against Bournemouth took the third and final place on the podium having picked up 12 per cent of the vote.

Congratulations, Reece!
