Chelsea midfielder Julia Bartel will help Spain defend their Under-20 World Cup title after being called-up for the upcoming major youth tournament in Colombia.
The 20-year-old, who was part of the squad that won the U-20 World Cup in 2022, will travel with her compatriots to South America, with their title defence beginning on 1 September when they take on the United States.
This edition of the tournament has been expanded from 16 teams to 24, and following their opening Group C stage match the defending champions will play Paraguay and Morocco on 4 and 8 September, respectively.
Before travelling to Colombia, Spain will play the Netherlands in a friendly match on 16 August as part of their final preparations.
Good luck, Julia!
