Katerina Svitkova has departed Chelsea to join Slavia Prague in her native Czech Republic on a permanent deal.

The attacking midfielder joined the Blues from fellow Women’s Super League side West Ham United in July 2022, but endured a difficult first season due to injury. She made five appearances in all competitions, scoring her first goal for the club in an 8-0 Champions League group stage victory over Vllaznia at Kingsmeadow.

During Svitkova’s first season, Chelsea won the WSL title and the FA Cup, with her being an unused substitute in the final victory over Manchester United at Wembley.

After undergoing knee surgery and her rehabilitation, Svitkova then went on loan to Slavia Prague in February 2024. She made eight appearances during that spell, as the club where she previously spent seven years from 2013 won the league.

Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Katerina for her contribution during her time at the club, and we wish her every success upon her return to Slavia Prague.
