Kepa Arrizabalaga has once again been nominated for the Premier League Save of the Month award, the third time this season.
The Spaniard receives his nomination in February for his important stop to deny Fulham’s Andreas Pereira’s strike in the first half of our 0-0 draw with our London neighbours at the beginning of the month.
Joao Palhinha had originally won the ball inside the Chelsea half before fizzing a pass towards the Brazilian, with a bounce of the ball enabling him to sweetly hit a shot towards Kepa’s net. It looked to be heading for the bottom right-hand corner, if not for Kepa’s strong wrist.
Kepa is one of five nominees for the award, which is a new introduction for the 2022/23 season, facing competition twice from David De Gea (Manchester United), as well as Alisson Becker (Liverpool), Jordan Pickford (Everton) and Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal).
You have until midday on Monday 6 March to cast your vote for the Premier League’s February Save of the Month, with the winner being announced at 2pm on Friday 10 March.
