Following several impressive performances for our Under-21s side, Kiano Dyer has been crowned Premier League 2 Player of the Month for October.
The midfielder has played in seven of our eight PL2 fixtures this season – and recorded two assists in the competition during October.
Dyer has been a regular for our Under-21s since joining the Blues from West Bromwich Albion at the end of his under-14s season and was named in Enzo Maresca's matchday squad for our Conference League fixture against Gent last month.
October was a particularly successful month for Dyer and the Under-21s, who enjoyed a four-game winning streak in five matches. Highlights in PL2 included standout victories over Leicester City and Fulham, including a 6-0 triumph over our West London rivals, marking our biggest win of the season.
After receiving his award at Cobham, Dyer said: 'I'm super happy to receive this Player of the Month award. It means a lot to me. I've been working hard since the start of the season and it's great to see my that recognised. In October, I felt I was putting in strong performances and helping the team as much as I could.
'I would like to thank everyone who has supported me since the start of the season, from Filipe and the coaching staff to my teammates. All the performances we put in are to get the best for the team and aim for three points each week.
'I'm looking forward to seeing where the campaign goes and hopefully to picking up another award this season!'
