Lauren James' stunning injury-time winner against Everton has been nominated for the Women's Super League Goal of the Month award for February.

With the Blues level with the Toffees at 1-1 at Kingsmeadow, the England international struck an effort from range with 90+2 minutes on the clock which crashed into the bottom corner.

It was a vital goal that ensured Sonia Bompastor's side a 2-1 victory and kept the Blues seven points clear at the top of the WSL table after 14 games played.

The goal was James' first since she found the back of the net against Crystal Palace in September and arrived during the second consecutive game where the forward played the full match following her return from injury.

Our No.10 is nominated for this month's award alongside Honoko Hayashi (Everton), Kelly Gago (Everton), Elisabeth Terland (Manchester United), Emily Fox (Arsenal), Janice Cayman (Leicester City), Khadija Shaw (Manchester City) and Gracie Prior (Manchester City).

Voting is now open and will close at 11am on Monday 24 February. You can vote for Lauren's tremendous strike here.

Good luck, LJ!
