For the second weekend in a row, the Blues are in action in Merseyside. Here is all you need to know ahead of our Women’s Super League clash against Liverpool…

An emphatic 5-0 win against Everton at Goodison Park in our last outing saw Sonia Bompastor’s side claim five opening WSL wins for the first time in Chelsea’s history. Can we make it six?

When and where

We play Liverpool at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Sunday 10 November with kick-off scheduled for 12.30pm.

How to follow

As always, you can follow via the match centre on the official Chelsea website and official app, and through Chelsea Women’s social media channels with match commentary posted on X and regular updates available on Facebook and Instagram.

The match will be shown live on BBC for UK viewers.

The form

The Blues have won each of our five WSL games this season against Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. In those wins, 20 goals have been scored by 13 different players and only three conceded.

We currently sit second in the league table with 15 points, one point and one place behind current leaders Manchester City who have played a game more.

Bompastor has also guided her Blues to a winning start in the UEFA Champions League, having won both our Group B clashes against Real Madrid at home and FC Twente on the road.

Our opponents are sixth in the standings with nine points. Liverpool have won two games – against Aston Villa and Spurs – and have picked up draws against Leicester City, West Ham and Crystal Palace.

Matt Beard’s side have also played one match in this season’s League Cup, losing 2-0 to Manchester United in the group stages.

Recent head-to-head

As last season neared its end, Liverpool claimed a 4-3 win in the previous WSL meeting between the two sides. An Aggie Beever-Jones brace and Catarina Macario strike were not enough for the Blues to avoid defeat at Prenton Park.

Meanwhile, last term’s home fixture against Liverpool saw Chelsea record an impressive 5-1 victory at Stamford Bridge. Lauren James netted a hat-trick in that encounter, while Sjoeke Nusken and Beever-Jones were also on the scoresheet.
