Chelsea supporters attending Wednesday evening’s match at Anfield are asked to take advantage of a guide for visiting supporters which may be downloaded below, and to read the following on behaviour at the game.
Keeping Support Positive
This match against Liverpool continues a great rivalry between the clubs and we look forward to the team receiving passionate support at Anfield.
We ask for this support to remain respectful and positive at all times inside and around the stadium, as well as on transport to and from the match.
Supporters are reminded the Premier League this season introduced a series of new measures to address an unacceptable rise in anti-social behaviour involving football tragedy-related chanting, gesturing, graffiti, online abuse and other behaviours.
The issues have continued to cause significant distress to the victims’ families, survivors and affected club supporters, in addition to damaging the reputation of the clubs involved and football in England and Wales.
The new measures mean people who are found to have committed offences face stadium bans and potential criminal prosecution. This applies to abuse occurring in stadiums or online.
Chelsea Football Club believes hateful chanting has no place in football.
