Tino Livramento has been named the 2020/21 Chelsea Academy Player of the Year following a strong season with our development squad, which has led to him ending the campaign training with the men's team and featuring on the bench.
The defender joined our youth ranks as an Under-9 and steadily progressed through the age groups to mainly feature for our youth team in 2019/20. During that season, Livramento also made six outings for our development squad, who were crowed Premier League 2 champions, and helped our youth team reach a 13th FA Youth Cup final.
Starting 26 of 30 eligible games, the Croydon-born youngster is the top appearance-maker across all Academy competitions this term. He has amassed an impressive 2,261 minutes of football, lasting the duration in all but five games. Along the way there has been two Premier League 2 goals, a maiden Youth Cup goal and a host of assists for the wing-back.
His performances under Andy Myers of late have been good enough to catch the eye of Thomas Tuchel, who has named the teenager on the bench for Premier League games agains Manchester City and Arsenal respectively.
The 18-year-old follows in the footsteps of Reece James, Billy Gilmour and Mason Mount in winning the award, chosen by coaching staff and senior management in the Academy.
