Noni Madueke gets analytical in an exclusive interview in tomorrow’s matchday programme, which you won’t want to miss.

Ahead of a derby-day encounter with near neighbours Fulham, the Blues winger discusses his partnership with Cole Palmer and reveals that they have been friends since their mid-teens due to England duty. Noni Madueke also explains why his team-mate is such an entertaining player to watch.

'It’s probably going on seven years now that we’ve known each other,' Noni says. 'So, he knows my game and I think we complement each other really well.

'He knows the timing of when I’m going to go, and I know – almost like a sixth sense – where he’s going to put the ball. I’ve seen him doing it, and been on the pitch with him doing it, for a long time, so it’s natural now. It’s really good.

'He’s a unique talent. He doesn’t look like much of an athlete to the eye, but he’s got a wiry quickness and really clean movements. His left foot is a wand… he’s one of my favourite players, to be honest.'

Madueke, who signed from PSV Eindhoven last January, isn’t the first youngster to sign for Chelsea after making an impression overseas. Sam Dalla Bona also speaks exclusively in tomorrow’s programme, revisiting a time of transition at Stamford Bridge in the early 2000s, when he emerged in the wake of Roberto Di Matteo’s injury-enforced retirement to become a Chelsea regular for a couple of seasons, under compatriots Gianluca Vialli and Claudio Ranieri.

'I only have good memories of my time with Chelsea and in London,' he says of those days in blue. 'My time there was beautiful. When I first returned to Italy, I was asking for the ball in English. I was shouting "Man on! Switch on!". I was half-English after five years there, but afterwards I became, again, Italiano.'

Club historian Rick Glanvill looks at the remarkable story of Andre Schurrle, who played for both Chelsea and Fulham in a career that saw him set up the winner in a World Cup final, before retiring abruptly at the age of 29. Glanvill looks into the decision Schurrle made and explores the action-packed life the German star has led since hanging up his boots.
