Blues linked with Coman

Chelsea are reportedly interested in French winger Kingsley Coman.

According to Sport Witness, the Blues are keeping an eye on the Bayern Munich star as his club tries to find a way to renew his contract.

The 24-year-old’s deal runs out in 2023 and the Bavarian club are reportedly interested in keeping Coman at the Allianz Arena.

If there is no renewal, the report states that Chelsea are one of a number of clubs in England that have expressed interest in the former Juventus man.

Coman has scored seven goals and picked up 13 assists so far this season and can add another attacking threat to a strong Blues squad.

The French winger is also one of the most decorated players in Europe. He has won 24 trophies in his career so far, which include the Champions League, two Serie A trophies, two Ligue 1 titles and six Bundesliga crowns.

Arteta praises Tuchel

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has praised Thomas Tuchel for the work he has done since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, the Spanish boss labelled the Blues manager as 'exceptional' after reaching the FA Cup and Champions League finals in his short time in charge.

‘They have been the best team in the league in the last few months, Arteta told reporters.

‘What Tuchel has been able to do since he arrived has been exceptional.’

We host Arsenal tonight in our next Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge, as we look to continue to push for a top-four finish.

'He put the team into two finals,’ the former Everton midfielder continued. ‘The way the team is looking, how solid they’ve been defensively as well. How composed and regular they have been in their performance has been excellent.’

McCoist backs Blues to win Champions League

TalkSport radio host Ally McCoist has backed Chelsea to win the Champions League later this month.

Speaking on TalkSport, the former Rangers man detailed the advantages the Blues can take away after our 2-1 victory against Manchester City.

‘The biggest compliment you can pay Chelsea is that they are the only side in world football that looks like they don’t fear Manchester City,’ he said.

‘They are the only team I have seen look unbelievably confident attacking City.

The Blues have beaten Pep Guardiola’s side twice so far this season, once in the FA Cup semi-final and in the Premier League last weekend. Another hugely important game will be played at the end of May when we face each other in the Champions League final.

‘Thomas Tuchel will be thrilled by what he saw at the weekend,’ McCoist continued. ‘I think Chelsea will win it (the Champions League) on the evidence of the last two games against each other.

‘There is absolutely no doubt now that Chelsea will be in the minds of the Manchester City players.’
