Dybala to Chelsea?

According to 90min, Chelsea are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing Juventus striker Paulo Dybala.

Dybala has scored seven goals in 17 Serie A matches this season, and also featured at Stamford Bridge as the Blues thrashed the Italian side 4-0 in November in the Champions League.

‘A number of Premier League clubs have been offered the chance to sign Paulo Dybala once his Juventus contract expires, 90min understands,’ the report states.

‘Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been offered the opportunity to discuss terms with Dybala after the forward failed to agree a new deal with Juve.'

A move in the summer is looking likely, according to the report, and his agent is already starting to line up his potential suitors.

‘The aforementioned Premier League clubs, PSG and Inter are among the clubs that have been contacted, and 90min have been told that the player's representatives are due to travel around Europe in the coming weeks with the hopes of brokering a move for the 28-year-old.’

Blues to rival Reds for Carvalho

Chelsea will reignite any reported interest in Fulham and England attacker Fabio Carvalho after a deal with Liverpool fell through on Deadline Day.

The 19-year-old had completed a medical in Merseyside, according to a report by the Metro, but the relevant paperwork did not get through in time to meet the 11pm deadline.

‘Chelsea are set to rival Liverpool for Fulham starlet Fabio Carvalho this summer after the Merseysiders failed to wrap up a deadline day deal for the youngster,’ a report in the Metro states.

‘Liverpool remain confident of signing Carvalho, however they will no longer have a free run at the teenager who is out of contract in the summer,' the story adds.

‘Goal report that there are other clubs now looking at Carvalho, with the most notable being Chelsea.

‘The west Londoners – who have an advantage in terms of the attacker not needing to uproot his family – are weighing up their own move, though they will have to make up ground on Liverpool.

‘Chelsea are not the only club who will rival Liverpool, with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund also interested.’

Cannavaro could have been a Blue

2006 World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro has claimed he very nearly signed for Chelsea after Italy won the competition.

The former centre-back won six club trophies in spells at Real Madrid and Parma, but never played in the Premier League.

In a report by The Sun, the Italian reveals how close he was to moving to SW6.

‘I was close to signing when I was at Juventus [in 2006],’ he said.

‘A friend of mine called me and asked me if I would go to Chelsea and I knew they were interested.

‘But in the end I moved to Madrid and of course Fabio Capello was there.’

Cannavaro was considered for managerial roles at Watford as well as Everton, and describes how he was 'proud' that they had considered him.

‘I was proud that Everton and Watford, also, asked me to have an interview and I really appreciate that.’
