Hazard linked with Blues return

Former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge.

According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid are ready to listen to offers for the Belgian international as they try to raise funds.

The 30-year-old left Chelsea for the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2019 after winning the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri. However, injuries have limited his playing time in the Spanish capital.

The Belgian has appeared 21 times in all competitions this season and is now linked with a return to Stamford Bridge.

The winger spent seven seasons with the Blues and helped the club win two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the Europa League twice.

Hazard recently made his first appearance at Stamford Bridge since his move when the Blues knocked out Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Sneijder backs Blues

Former Dutch international Wesley Sneijder has backed Chelsea to defeat Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the former midfielder believes the Blues have the quality to win their second-ever Champions League.

‘They are the two best clubs but for me, Chelsea wins,’ Sneijder said. ‘They are a strong team with Thomas Tuchel and they have a great coach.

‘They have already beaten City and for me, they are the favourites.’

The Blues will travel to Porto this week and begin preparations for the weekend. Thomas Tuchel managed to knock out Pep Guardiola in the FA Cup semi-final and beat his side at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.

‘I have seen Chelsea play many times and they have pride and strength,’ the 2010 Champions League winner continued. ‘I am happy that these two teams are on top of Europe right now.

Terry praises Thiago Silva

Former Chelsea centre-back John Terry has hailed Thiago Silva after our meeting against Aston Villa in the final game of the Premier League season.

Taking to Instagram, Terry praised the former Paris Saint-Germain defender after Thiago Silva gifted the former Blues captain his matchday shirt.

‘What a player this man is,’ Terry said. ‘Great to see you mate. Legend.’

Thiago Silva has been an important figure for the Blues this season since he arrived from Ligue 1. The 36-year-old has also appeared 33 times for the Blues this season.

Terry recently revealed his dream of coaching Chelsea one day in an interview with The Times.

‘My ambition is very clear,’ he said. ‘There’s an end goal for me and that’s managing Chelsea Football Club.

‘My team will be winning – hopefully – very honest, very organised, very well drilled, very well prepared.’
