You don’t know how far you can go when you're eight years old...

It started for me in east London, where I've always lived. My earliest football memories are playing with my friends and cousins in the park. Now I’m in America and playing for Chelsea.

That means a lot. So did my professional debut. I was more excited than nervous when I came on against Tottenham last season. I had been on the bench a few times so I just wanted it to happen. My family were there as well so I was just proud.

This tour has helped me to get to know the guys better. I’ve enjoyed making new friends – we had two weeks of training before which helped – and I've been around the group a while so it’s helped me settle.

Being around the first team is great exposure for me. I’ve really enjoyed working with this squad. The coaches are all really nice, are understanding and they have given me a lot of advice.

I have spoken to Enzo Maresca; he’s been really helpful and supportive. He said if I ever have any questions to just ask him and be open. As a coach, he’s really detailed and precise. He wants us to play a certain way. I really like it. As a person, he’s really happy. He’s always smiling!

Noni [Madueke] and Carney [Chukwuemeka], and also Malo [Gusto] and Axel [Disasi] and Benoit [Badiashile], have really helped me settle into the first-team environment.

And seeing where Reece [James] has come from, through the Academy like me and Tyrique [George], to now being captain of Chelsea is inspiring. He understands what we’re going through. He’s really helpful.

It’s also been great having Tyrique here. Not only are we friends when we are here, away from Chelsea when we were younger we used to train together - sometimes in a group, sometimes just us two.

It’s good to have a friend who has been on the journey with you. We can talk about things and reminisce.

I’ve been to America once before when I was younger, Miami, but I don’t really remember it too much. It’s nice and hot here! It’s nice to get away from the London weather. I have enjoyed it so far.

The support we’ve received in the stadium, when you hear the fans and see all the fans, is a nice feeling. You expect it when you’re playing Tottenham at Stamford Bridge but to see it over here is amazing.

Now I want to end this tour doing the best I can. Hopefully, I can impress the manager. Then see what happens next.
