A squad of 19 Chelsea Women players have travelled to Spain today ahead of our UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final second leg encounter against Barcelona on Thursday evening.
The Blues landed safely in Barcelona on Wednesday evening where we will be aiming to overturn a slender one-goal deficit and reach the showpiece final in Eindhoven in June.
Caroline Graham Hansen struck in the opening few minutes of the first leg at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, giving the Spaniards a narrow one-goal advantage going into the second leg at Camp Nou.
However, it could have been a different story as Guro Reiten saw a goal ruled out for offside before watching in anguish as a second effort was cleared when it seemed destined for the net.
Millie Bright, Kadeisha Buchanan and Katerina Svitkova will remain at home to continue their rehabilitation, while Fran Kirby makes the trip but is not available for selection.
