The 22-year-old was initially one of three Chelsea players - alongside Levi Colwill and Noni Madueke - named in their interim manager Lee Carsley's first England squad, for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against the Republic of Ireland and Finland.

However, Palmer has now left the England camp and will return to Cobham to continue rehabilitation for ongoing issues for the remainder of this international break.
