Cole Palmer has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award following his brilliant breakout season at Chelsea.
The prize is voted for by the players who competed in the Premier League last season, with Palmer unsurprisingly making the six-man shortlist.
The attacker scored a remarkable 22 league goals and backed that up with 11 assists.
The 22-year-old registered more goal involvements last term than any other player in the Premier League, a phenomenal effort having only joined the Blues in the final week of the summer transfer window.
Highlights of Palmer's spectacular campaign included his four-goal haul against Everton during our 6-0 win over the Toffees, which featured him recording the earliest ever 'perfect' Premier League hat-trick.
The forward also notched a treble in our dramatic 4-3 stoppage-time win over Manchester United – and calmly converted a last-gasp penalty against his former club Manchester City during a thrilling 4-4 draw.
Palmer is aiming to follow former Blues Scott Parker (2003/04) and Eden Hazard (2013/14) in winning the award.
He is up against Bukayo Saka of Arsenal, Brighton’s Joao Pedro, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United, and Michael Olise, who recently left Crystal Palace for Bayern Munich.
The winner will be announced on 20 August at this year’s PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester. Palmer will be hoping to add to the Premier League Young Player of the Year and PFA Fans' Player of the Year prizes he scooped up in May.
Congratulations, Cole!
