Our development squad can close the gap at the top of the table to two points with victory over Arsenal at Kingsmeadow...
Arsenal make the short trip across London to take on Mark Robinson's men this evening with kick-off at Kingsmeadow is scheduled for 7pm. It is a game that will be live streamed on our platforms.
After last week's 0-0 draw away at Liverpool, Chelsea will look to return to winning ways with a tricky game against the team sat in sixth place currently.
Recent record against the Gunners
Our development squad have not had the best of records against tonight's opponents as we will be in search of our first victory over the north London team since our 3-0 win in the 2020/21 season.
On that occasion, Ian Maatsen, Bryan Fiabema and Tino Livramento were on the scoresheet in a convincing win that day.
Since that victory, we are winless in four games as our most recent fixture against Mehmet Ali's side earlier this season ended 4-1 to the young Gunners.
Despite this, Arsenal are not in the best of form in the PL2 as they have registered one win in their last five games. That stretch includes a 6-0 defeat to the leaders Manchester City.
Last time out
Our last outing in the PL2 was a 0-0 draw against Liverpool when our young Blues could not find the decisive goal in that game.
The result was our first clean sheet in four games, but despite some good opportunities we could not find the back of the net.
The best opportunity of the game came in the opening moments of the match when Harvey Vale found space on the left side of the pitch, putting in a great cross but it was cleared well at the back post as Dylan Williams would have had an easy tap in.
Our boys also needed a good performance from Gabriel Slonina who made some important stops to ensure the scores remained level. He was making his second appearance in the PL2.
