Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Romeo Lavia picked up a knock towards the end of our victory against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.
Lavia had been introduced off the bench early in the second half and impressed on his debut with his forward passing and assurance in possession.
However, the Belgian suffered a late knock and Pochettino confirmed the midfielder's fitness would need to be evaluated ahead of tomorrow's trip to Luton Town.
‘Lavia felt something and we need to check and hope it’s not too bad,’ the Blues head coach explained.
‘We are a little bit worried because if you watch the game [against Crystal Palace] I had to change his position with (Conor) Gallagher at the end because he was struggling to run.
‘We will see what is going on. We hope it’s not a big issue and he can be with us again. He’s an important player that we recovered, and it’s going to be a shame if we cannot use him in the next few games.’
Pochettino confirmed that Mykhailo Mudryk would also need to be assessed ahead of tomorrow's game after he limped off during the second half of our victory over Crystal Palace.
