Christian Pulisic is set to return from injury and start for the US national side tonight, as they take on Saudi Arabia in their latest World Cup warm-up fixture.
The Chelsea forward sat out Friday’s 2-0 defeat to Japan in Dusseldorf with a slight knock he picked up in training, although he’s now overcome that niggle and is set to lead out the side tonight.
Gregg Berhalter’s side take on Saudi Arabia in Murcia this evening, with the game set to be their final action before the World Cup gets underway in Qatar. USA have been paired with England, Iran and Wales in Group B, opening their tournament against the latter on November 21.
Pulisic is a key member of the national side, having made 50 appearances for USA and netted 21 times, and is expected to lead the line for USA at the World Cup later this year.
