Chelsea star Guro Reiten says the chance to reach the 'biggest game' in the domestic calendar will give the team all the motivation they need against Manchester United.

The Blues travel to Leigh Sports Village for the second Adobe Women's FA Cup semi-final of the weekend today, with the winner returning to Wembley next month for the second year on the bounce.

Still in the hunt for trophies in three competitions as we head into the season run-in, the Blues face a rematch of last season's final in our first game back after the international break.

Emma Hayes' team claimed the trophy 11 months ago after a second-half winner from Sam Kerr, the first half of a league and cup Double, with United runners-up in both competitions.

Guro Reiten started the move that led to Kerr's Wembley winner last year, and the Norwegian star says her memories from that day remind her just how big this tournament is.

'When you come here, the girls talk a lot about the FA Cup. It is the biggest game in the calendar that you want to play.

'As a foreign player you probably don’t really understand fully what it means, until you get to experience it yourself. We’ve been there a few times now. I just remember Wembley, with a lot of fans in the stadium, the atmosphere, everything about it.

'It is just a cool, cool day. Last year we were sitting in our hotel hours before the game and could just see thousands of fans coming in the stadium hours before kick-off, we were just like "this is it, this is so cool".

'You really want to win that, no matter who you’re playing. It’s a trophy we really want to lift and it means a lot.'

Reiten has had little time to reflect on a busy month for the Blues, which ended with a dispiriting late League Cup final defeat against Arsenal. The winger was straight into international duty with Norway.

She went on to captain her country twice, in both a win over Finland and a narrow defeat to the Netherlands, an experience she describes as 'a really special moment'.

Switching back to club mode, Reiten says the Blues will be able to move on quickly from that cup final defeat, with plenty still to play for over the last two months of the season.

'It’s honestly really hard to reflect. We lost the final on the Sunday then on the Monday morning you’re straight in on international camp, with qualification games for the Euros and you have to focus on that, so it is hard to look back during a season.

'Last month was very busy, the highlight has to be that Arsenal game at Stamford Bridge. That was an incredible night. The atmosphere has never been better at the Bridge, the fans were amazing that night.

'Then we managed to get through in the Champions League, and check that one off. Then we had the Conti Cup final.

'We lost that which sucks, but there is nothing we can do about that now. We have to move forward and we are still fighting for three trophies.'
