With less than two months to go until Chelsea FC Legends take on Liverpool FC Legends at Anfield, we can reveal Roberto Di Matteo will lead the travelling Blues contingent.
The game will be Di Matteo's second overseeing Chelsea Legends; he led the Blues to a 4-0 win against FC Bayern Legends in September 2023 at Stamford Bridge.
That match was the Italian’s first in the Chelsea dugout since 2012, the year in which he guided the Blues to a famous UEFA Champions League and FA Cup double. Liverpool were beaten in the final of the latter competition.
Chelsea Legends will face off against Liverpool Legends at Anfield on Saturday 22 March and will raise funds for the Chelsea Foundation and, in particular, the Chelsea Players' Trust, which supports the welfare of those who made the club what it is today.
Tickets for the match are on sale now and members of the Chelsea Legends team will be announced in the coming weeks.
