Chelsea winger Johanna Rytting Kaneryd has been named Swedish Women's Player of the Year for 2024.
The Swedish international claimed the prize after an impressive 2024 where she won the Women's Super League title with the Blues and helped her country qualify for next summer's European Championships in Switzerland.
In last season's title-winning campaign, the 27-year-old made 19 appearances in the WSL and scored on four occasions, including in the Blues' win against Manchester United on the final day of the campaign. She played 35 games across all competitions and finished as our leading assist maker with 10 in total.
Rytting Kaneryd has been in impressive form this campaign, already equalling her goal return for last season. She has scored four times in 10 WSL appearances thus far and has featured on four occasions in the UEFA Champions League.
She was nominated for both September and October's WSL Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards, winning the latter prize in October for a sublime strike in a 5-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
It is not only at club where the winger has excelled. The winger earned 12 more caps for Sweden during 2024 and scored four goals, including a brace against the Republic of Ireland during Euro qualifying before another in a win over Luxembourg in the play-offs.
Congratulations, Jojo!
