Teddy Sharman-Lowe played his first game for Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday and the young goalkeeper made a couple of superb saves to earn Loan Performance of the Week.

Sharman-Lowe joined the Hawks a fortnight ago but because of postponements owing to the freezing weather, had to wait until this weekend before making his debut.

Havant hosted Hampton & Richmond Borough in the National League South and dominated most of the game. They led 1-0 going into the final five minutes when Sharman-Lowe made a stunning point-blank reflex save to stop a volley finding the net. The stop was all the more impressive because Sharman-Lowe had hitherto had very little to do.

Unfortunately for the keeper, Hampton equalised from the resulting corner through an unstoppable Dean Inman header, but as the visitors pressed for an unlikely winner he still had time to make one more vital save, keeping out Connor Kurran-Browne’s low shot with virtually the last kick.

Havant are next in action away to Taunton Town on Tuesday evening, when Sharman-Lowe will hope to enjoy his first win as a Hawk. They are third in the table.
