The Germany international wants our fans to really bring the noise to Stamford Bridge as we battle to turn around a 4-1 deficit against Barcelona in the Women's Champions League semi-final on Sunday.
Nusken has been an important part of Sonia Bompastor's squad this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists in 18 league appearances, as well as contributing two goals in six Champions League games.
The midfielder came off the bench against Barcelona in the first leg, before playing the full 90 minutes in our 4-0 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday, and explained why a rotation system is vital for a successful side.
'I think it’s very important to have a big squad that we can rotate a lot,' said Nusken. 'Especially for the game on Sunday, we need fresh legs so I think it’s good to rotate a little bit.'
Nusken was a vital part of the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Women's Super League, making five tackles and four interceptions in the defensive half of the pitch, and in attack took five shots and created opportunities for her team-mates.
In particular, she linked up well with the fit again Guro Reiten, and she was keen to dish out praise for her, as well as highlighting the performance of forward Catarina Macario, who bagged two goals on the night.
Nusken said: 'Yeah, she [Reiten] is very important. She’s so present on the pitch and I like to play with her on the side, I think it was a good link up. So, it’s good to have her back.
'I think she [Macario] has a lot of confidence now and she’s playing well so I’m very happy for her.'
After a 4-1 defeat in Barcelona, we need to mount another comeback in the second leg at Stamford Bridge in front of our fans.
Nusken was keen to encourage as many supporters as possible to back the team on Sunday, with tickets still available from £20 for adults and £10 for concessions.
'We need you all, guys, come to the game!' Nusken said.
'Come to Stamford Bridge and support us. It’s so important. We need you guys and we want to hear you!'
Tickets are still available to support Sjoeke and the team against Barcelona in the UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final on Sunday 27 April. You can secure your seat here.
