Blues head coach Sonia Bompastor has been nominated for the Women's Super League Manager of the Month award for January after leading her side to two wins from two.

The Blues prevailed with two league wins and two clean sheets in January, beating West Ham 5-0 at the Chigwell Construction Stadium and a 1-0 defeat of London rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Those results have helped consolidate the Blues' position at the top of the WSL table, where we sit seven points clear with 34 points after 12 games played.

The victory against West Ham also made Bompastor the first manager in WSL history to go unbeaten across their first 11 games in a season. That has now been extended to 12 following our win against Arsenal.

This is the fourth occasion Bompastor has been nominated for the WSL award, winning it in both September and November.

Bompastor has been shortlisted alongside Manchester United's Marc Skinner and Robert Vilahamn of Tottenham Hotspur. Voting is now open and will close on Monday 3 February at 11am. You can cast your vote for Sonia here!

Good luck, Sonia!
