For the second time this season, Sonia Bompastor has won the Women’s Super League Manager of the Month award.
The 44-year-old, who won the prize in September and was also nominated in October, has been crowned November’s Manager of the Month after leading the Blues to the top of the table, where we sit five points clear.
In November, Bompastor’s side won each of their four games against Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United, scoring 11 goals in the process with none conceded. Those victories extended our winning start to the season to eight games from eight in the league and means we are the only team in the WSL to remain unbeaten.
Bompastor also broke an individual record this month, as following the victory over Man City at Stamford Bridge, she became the first head coach to win their opening seven games in their debut WSL season.
Our head coach beat Arsenal’s Renee Slegers and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Dario Vidosic to be named November’s Manager of the Month.
Congratulations, Sonia!
