A number of Chelsea supporters who have been going through difficult times enjoyed an exclusive experience courtesy of Chelsea Foundation.
The special guests and their families were invited into Cobham for one of Chelsea Foundation’s community day, where they began with a Q&A session with Chelsea legend Carlo Cudicini.
Cudicini explained his role and spoke about the recent ‘Legends of Europe’ match in memory of Gianluca Vialli, before answering questions from the visitors.
Arlo Campion, Oscar Clores, Alfie Jacob and Leo Firth then made their way onto the training pitch to watch their heroes in action.
Arlo said: “It was a complete surprise coming today, I thought we were going to the hospital or school, but it was definitely worth missing out on the chicken dippers at school!’
The special guests then had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the players, who signed memorabilia and had photos with everyone.
Oscar said: ‘I can’t believe I met Chilwell, Gallagher and Enzo, amazing!’
Leo said: ‘Today is a good day, I managed to meet my favourite player Raheem Sterling which is a dream come true.’
There was one final surprise for one guest who was handed Mauricio Pochettino’s jumper.
Alfie said: ‘I’ve been a lifelong Chelsea fan thanks to my Grandad, so it’s been epic to be here today and meet everyone. I couldn’t believe it when Mauricio Pochettino gave me his jumper, that is something I will never forget!’
