Ronnie Stutter is the Chelsea Under-21s' current top scorer this season with seven goals and the youngster spent the international break training with the men's team, where he reveals he has been able to learn a lot from seeing Raheem Sterling's talents up close.

Our Under-21s are back in action this Friday when they take on Leicester City at Kingsmeadow and one player who has been working hard at Cobham during the international break is Ronnie Stutter.

The striker has been in fine form and was pictured in first-team training last week, after which Ronnie told us how he believes his overall game has improved.

'I think the psychological side of my game has improved. The willingness to keep powering on and making those runs, combined with the hunger to win games, has become a pivotal part of my approach. I want to be the best possible player I can be.

'As a striker, you need to score goals and everyone knows that goals win games and help the team. I see it as my responsibility to try and not only score goals but also create opportunities for my teammates.'

One side of his game that has visibly improved this season is his ability to hold the ball up and Ronnie acknowledges that the coaching team have helped him greatly in that area.

He said: 'I have been working on it, and I am happy that I am improving. It is important not to let the opposition push you over. Core strength and knowing where to place your arm and body are vital parts of my development.

'As a smaller player, it can be tough going up against taller and bigger players, but using my quick movements and core strength to my advantage has been the message from Robbo and the team.'

One first-team player who has been known to use his smaller frame to his advantage is Raheem Sterling. Ronnie was full of praise for the winger, as during his time training with the men's team, he appreciated his skill-set a lot more.

'There's a level of intensity that is expected at this level of the game, and you simply cannot afford to slack off. Raheem's game is so complete. The way he takes on defenders, protects the ball and his quick decision-making are all great things to see. I watched him closely and there are definitely things that I want to add to my game.'

There have been a number of fine goals scored by Ronnie so far this season, but the pick of the bunch for him is the one against Spurs.

'The one against Tottenham is my favourite, I know we did not get the win and that is the most important thing, but I just loved the strike and how I was able to win the ball back from the player.'
