Chelsea goalkeeper Ted Curd has joined National League South side Hampton & Richmond on a season-long loan.

The 18-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at Hashtag United in the Isthmian League Premier, making 16 appearances for the club before returning to Chelsea in January.

Curd, who was also part of the England squad for the Under-17 World Cup in November, was named on the Blues’ first-team bench for the home leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough and an away match at Aston Villa during the second half of the 2023/24 campaign.

This season he joins a Hampton & Richmond side who finished ninth in National League South last time out, just one point below the play-off places.

Curd will be working under the tutelage of new Beavers boss Alan Julian, who spent 22 years playing as a goalkeeper in the Football League and National League, with Brentford and Gillingham among his former clubs.

Good luck this season, Ted!
