The Blues had a mammoth 63-game season in 2021/22, playing every possible match in all but one competition, with June offering a much-needed opportunity to take a break from action for Tuchel.

The likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Hakim Ziyech, Trevoh Chalobah and Ross Barkley all returned to our Surrey training base on Saturday alongside our fitness coaches.

They were joined by those youngsters out on loan last season, such as Ian Maatsen, Dujon Sterling, and Levi Colwill, with the trio once again involved in first-team training on Monday by our Bavarian head coach.
