Tosin Adarabioyo emphasised the importance of continued focus and preparation as the Blues shift their attention to another busy week.
The festive schedule is hotting up with crucial fixtures against Shamrock Rovers and Everton to come, and Tosin is making sure his concentration doesn’t waver from the task at hand with this week’s matches a chance to continue our upward trajectory, both domestically and in Europe.
Following our hard-fought 2-1 win over Brentford on Sunday evening, Tosin praised the team’s collective effort and highlighted head coach Enzo Maresca’s role in maintaining those high standards.
‘We focus every single day in training and hope the results come with that,’ said the defender. ‘We take each game as it comes. The manager is pushing us every single day to make sure we are doing the right things and preparing for each game.
‘We’ve got top players. When everyone puts in a shift – and against Brentford, we put in an amazing shift off the ball – it’s always good to see. Our next focus now is Shamrock Rovers.’
With confidence building, Tosin also acknowledged the growing chemistry within the squad, lauding his team-mates’ work rate and quality in key moments.
In particular, he pointed to Marc Cucurella’s opener against the Bees on Sunday, which came from a pinpoint cross by Noni Madueke, as evidence of the progress being made.
‘It’s something we have been working on,' he said. 'It was a great cross from Noni Madueke and great to see Marc Cucurella on the end of it. He was in a more advanced position and did a great job.’
