Tosin Adarabioyo was pleased with a solid defensive display and another clean sheet as we earned a point on our travels against Brentford.

It was a game of very little in the way of clear-cut chances, but it meant that the Blues would have to be switched on defensively and in transition to hold the Bees at bay. Alongside his centre-back partner Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin played an important role in maintaining the deadlock at the Brentford Community Stadium.

The 27-year-old was pleased to secure that clean sheet and felt we dealt with Brentford’s attacking options well, despite wanting to turn one point into all three.

‘It’s a tough place to come to, so to come away with a clean sheet and a point is a positive that we can take,’ Tosin opened.

‘Those two [Bryan Mbeumo & Yoane Wissa] are a very dynamic duo. They attack you and attack you hard and fast. But I felt we dealt with those combinations. They put 11 men behind the ball and they attacked fast, but we dealt with it well.’

Although content with the defensive work, Tosin knows it’s about using it as a platform to continue our positive form for the rest of the campaign.

‘Back-to-back clean sheets are always important, and we’ll be hoping to take that into final few games of the season,’ he continued.

He also added that the support from the Blues faithful was fantastic once again in west London.

‘It was amazing support even at the end where they were clapping and singing for us,’ he said. ‘We got a draw when we wanted the three points, but they were amazing today.

‘We go to Warsaw [on Thursday] and we will hope to get a positive result to take back with us to Stamford Bridge.’
