Chelsea are now returning back home to the UK after a very successful and enjoyable few weeks in America on pre-season tour.

The Blues played five matches in total: winning three and drawing two.

We won the first-ever Premier League Summer Series tournament with wins against Fulham and Brighton coming either side of a solid point against Newcastle United. We were crowned champions in Washington D.C.

First Chelsea goals came for Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Mykhailo Mudryk and Mason Burstow along the way, while Levi Colwill played his first minutes in Chelsea colours before signing a new long-term deal in Chicago.

Some Academy youngsters shone throughout tour, too, with Bashir Humphreys impressing at centre-back alongside the returning Ian Maatsen, who played wide-left in the majority of his outings.

We spent time in five states: North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Maryland and Illinois, and met some amazing Blues supporters along the way.

Ambassadors Gary Cahill and then Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink were part of our travelling party and took part in some amazing fan zones and fan events.

The Blues will now return to Cobham for training across the weekend, before a couple of scheduled days off. We play Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 13 August, as the 2023/24 campaign gets under full swing.
