Man City – Thursday 5 January, 8pm

National strike action by the ASLEF union, which will affect depot drivers and significantly limit the number of trains that can be brought into service, will mean a severely reduced service, or no service at all, on most train operators. This includes South Western Railway, Southern, Southeastern and Thameslink.

On South Western Railway, a severely reduced service will operate only between 7.15am and 6.30pm, on a limited number of routes. There will be no services on the Island Line due to strike action.

On Southern and Southeastern, there are no trains running all day.

Please check the National Rail journey planner before you travel and note the early finish to services.

Man City (a) – Sunday 8 January, 4.30pm

Due to the impact of strike days between Tuesday 3 January and Saturday 7 January, customers are also advised to check before travelling on National Rail services on Sunday 8 January, with first trains starting later.

A normal but busy service is expected on Avanti routes to Manchester.

On London Underground, there is no service on the Hammersmith & City line. The District line is closed between Earl’s Court and Whitechapel, and High St Kensington and Edgware Road.

On the Circle line there is no service between Edgware Road and Aldgate via Victoria.
