Chelsea winger Tyrique George has been nominated for November's Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a standout November in Blue, making valuable contributions to both the men’s and Academy teams, while focusing on Premier League 2 action under Filipe Coelho. George has consistently showcased his talent, speed and technique to trouble the opposition.
At the start of the month, he impressed in our Premier League 2 London derby against Arsenal at Kingsmeadow, delivering a brilliant assist to set up Donnell McNeilly’s opener in a 2-1 win.
Continuing his fine form in league action, Tyrique added another assist in our dominant 6-2 win over Derby County, picking out Kiano Dyer in space for a clinical finish. His performances have been a vital part of the team’s success over the last month.
As well as being an influential member of Coelho's squad, George had the opportunity to impress Enzo Maresca during November's European clashes. He made two appearances in the UEFA Conference League, contributing to a 2-0 victory against Heidenheim after earning his first senior start in a dominant 8-0 win over Noah at Stamford Bridge.
George joins Tottenham Hotspur’s Yusuf Akhamrich, Joe Gardner and Jack Perkins of Nottingham Forest, Fulham’s Callum Osmond, Liverpool’s Kieran Morrison, Sunderland’s Trey Ogunsuyi and Crystal Palace’s Jemiah Umolu on the shortlist for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for November.
