Aston Villa seem to be opponents our Women's and Academy sides enjoy playing against, with three Goal of the Month nominations from three games against the West Midlands side.

Sam Kerr and Guro Reiten are both nominated after finding the net in back-to-back victories over Villa in the Women's Super League and Women's FA Cup, either side of the international break. Kiano Dyer is also on the shortlist for his part in helping our Under-18s to a 4-1 win over the same opponents.

The other two nominations both come from Academy matches against Crystal Palace, Ben Elliott's slick team goal with our development squad being joined by a thumping long-range strike from Tyrique George for the Under-18s.

Kiano Dyer vs Aston Villa

Dyer got the third as our Under-18s came from behind to win 4-1 at Cobham, driving in from the left wing and leaving a defender sprawled in his wake with a smart turn, before cheekily lifting a finish over the goalkeeper from a tight angle.

Guro Reiten vs Aston Villa

This strike was very much of Reiten's own making as she got the second to set us well on the way to a 3-0 victory in the WSL. She started the move by pouncing on a loose pass in the middle before beating one defender, exchanging passes with Jelena Cankovic and guiding a precise first-time finish into the bottom corner.

Ben Elliott vs Crystal Palace

A patient, well-worked team move by our development squad to open the scoring against Palace was finished with a perfectly weighted one-two between Elliott and Omari Hutchinson, allowing the former to slot home under pressure.

Sam Kerr vs Aston Villa

The Australian's powerful header booked our place at Wembley for the Women's FA Cup final with a 1-0 win, but much of the credit goes to Cankovic and Reiten for their work in the build-up, before the latter's cross was met emphatically by Kerr at the back post.

Tyrique George vs Crystal Palace

George's equaliser made it five games unbeaten for our Under-18s and he did it in style, firing a shot beyond the reach of the goalkeeper which dipped under the crossbar from a long way out.
