The time has come for you to select your favourite Chelsea goal of January, with 10 special strikes across our men’s, women’s and Academy teams for you to choose from.
It's been a busy start to the New Year for all our teams with plenty of on-the-pitch action to keep us occupied. The men’s team enjoyed wins over Morecambe and Wolves, while the women’s team continued their incredible form as they cemented their place at the top of the WSL table.
We've pulled together a shortlist of all the best strikes from the month just gone and now it's just left to you to pick your favourite. You can remind yourself of the nominations by watching the video above and then make sure to have your say!
Cole Palmer vs Crystal Palace (H)
First up is Cole Palmer’s strike against the Eagles. In a beautiful move orchestrated spectacularly by Jadon Sancho, the winger beat his man before squaring it to Palmer to fire home in at Selhurst Park.
Tosin Adarabioyo vs Morecambe (H)
Next is Tosin’s second strike against Morecambe in the FA Cup. Having already found the back of the net earlier in the game, the defender made it a brace with a curling effort from the edge of the box worthy of any striker’s catalogue of goals.
Reece James vs Bournemouth (H)
With our Premier League contest against Bournemouth heading into the final moments, our skipper stepped up to take a free-kick – a set-piece that would be one of the last actions of the game. With faultless composure, the full-back fizzed the ball past the Cherries’ shot-stopper and into the corner to score his first Premier League goal since August 2022.
Shumaira Mheuka vs Merstham U18s (H)
Coming in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup, Shumaira Mheuka lit up the match with a special solo goal, holding off his defender before rifling it into the top corner from the edge of the area – his second of the game.
Catarina Macario vs West Ham (A)
The first of three nominations to come during our 5-0 win over the Hammers, Catarina Macario broke the deadlock with a wonderful volley which found the top corner with impressive style.
Aggie Beever-Jones vs West Ham (A)
Also coming against West Ham was Aggie Beever-Jones’ powerful strike. Fired from the edge of the box, the striker hit a sweet finish past the outstretched goalkeeper to make it 3-0 to the Blues.
Sandy Baltimore vs West Ham (A)
The final nomination from the complete performance over West Ham comes from Sandy Baltimore. Having dribbled the ball inside the area, the forward unleashed a great effort that looped over the stranded West Ham goalkeeper and into the net.
Oriane Jean-Francois vs Durham (H)
The first of two nominations from our 5-0 win over Durham comes from Oriane Jean-Francois. With our opponents thinking they had cleared a corner, the ball rolled to the edge of the box where Jean-Francois was waiting to hit an incredible strike into the top corner with some velocity.
Maika Hamano vs Durham (H)
The final entry on the list is Maika Hamano’s long-range finish in the same match. Receiving the ball on the wing, the forward tried her luck from range, looping the ball over the stranded goalkeeper and sending Kingsmeadow into raptures.
Ato Ampah vs Derby County U21s (H)
A stunning goal from our Premier League Cup win over Derby completes our shortlist for January. Tricky winger Ampah collects the ball on the far side of the pitch before driving in-field, slaloming past a number of Rams defenders before unleashing a powerful effort into the far corner.
