The men’s 4-1 win away at Crystal Palace involved two goals which have made the cut for the best of April, with Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic’s first of the game being nominated, after both goals came in the first 10 minutes of a spectacular start to the match from the Blues.

That is one of two Pulisic goals nominated, the other being his composed effort in the first leg of our Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, while there is a second European strike on the list, from Mason Mount in the previous round of the competition.

Chelsea Women are represented by Melanie Leupolz, following her long-range effort, which was the pick of the goals in a 5-0 thrashing of London City Lionesses in the Women's FA Cup.

Option one: Mason Mount v Porto (A)

Mount gave us a lead in the Champions League quarter-finals we would never relinquish, after collecting Jorginho’s pass with a fine spin, which left his defender for dead, before slotting low into the net in the first leg in Seville.

Option two: Kai Havertz v Crystal Palace (A)

There were less than eight minutes on the clock at Selhurst Park when Havertz opened the scoring. Having won the ball back in the corner, he exchanged passes and moved into the box, waiting for his moment before threading a shot through four defenders and past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner from a tight angle.

Option three: Christian Pulisic v Crystal Palace (A)

Just two minutes after Havertz’s opener, the German turned provider as his low cut-back found Pulisic’s run towards the front post, where he smashed a powerful shot high into the roof of the net to give the goalkeeper no chance. It was almost a carbon copy of his finish at Selhurst Park last season.

Option four: Melanie Leupolz v London City Lionesses (H)

The best of five goals without reply for the Blues in this dominant win at Kingsmeadow, Leupolz got our third when she received the ball 35-yards out and struck a swerving, looping shot into the top corner that left the goalkeeper grasping at air.

Option five: Christian Pulisic v Real Madrid (A)

Pulisic’s second nominated goal opened the scoring in our Champions League semi-final, as he brought down Antonio Rudiger’s scooped pass, showed brilliant composure to assess his options before going it alone, rounding former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and powering a shot between two defenders on the line.
