Chelsea are delighted to announce the signing of 20-year-old French striker Louna Ribadeira, who will return to Paris FC on loan for the 2024/25 season.
After signing a four-year deal with the Blues, Ribadeira will return to Paris FC where she made 24 appearances and scored eight goals during the last campaign, form which saw her named the Division 1 Feminine Young Player of the Year.
Ribadeira said: ‘I'm so happy to join Chelsea because for me it is one of the best teams in the world.
‘I'll continue my development at Paris for now and join Chelsea with more experience and more development of myself as a player.'
General manager Paul Green added: ‘Louna has shown great promise early on in her career and we believe her instinctive finishing will prove to be a real asset to the club in the future.
‘We look forward to welcoming her to the Chelsea family after she has continued her development back at Paris FC next season, where she has already benefited from regular game time.’
Although only 20 years old, Ribadeira already has 60 senior club appearances under her belt and recently made her debut for the French national team during a 2-1 win against England.
Before she made her bow on the senior international stage, the centre forward enjoyed much success at youth level. Ribadeira reached the final of the U17 Euros, before making the semi- final in the U19s Euros in 2023 when she was the top goalscorer and named Player of the Tournament.
Instinctive in front of goal, Ribadeira impresses with her finishing inside the area, while her attacking qualities also shine through when linking the play in the final third.
Everyone at Chelsea would like to welcome Louna to the club, and we wish her every success during her time on loan with Paris FC.
