Chelsea FC, Chelsea Foundation and Chelsea Pride, our official LGBTQ+ supporters group, once again joined forces to celebrate inclusion in the heart of London on Saturday.

Since our first representation at the event in 2018, Chelsea FC has stood alongside the LGBTQ+ community at the London Pride parade, emphasising that football is for everyone, whoever you may be. This year, we continued this tradition, showcasing our ongoing commitment to equality and unity.

The Pride in London parade, one of the world's most vibrant celebrations of LGBTQ+ inclusion, attracted tens of thousands supporters across central London. Chelsea FC's involvement underscored our dedication to promoting respect and diversity both on and off the pitch.

On the float we were joined by DJ Jhumka and our drag queen host, Black Peppa of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, to entertain the crowd, many of whom were handed Chelsea flags proudly bearing our message of ‘The Pride of London – Whoever You May Be’

Tracy Brown, chair of Chelsea Pride, shared her excitement: What an incredible London Pride 2024! As always, it's amazing to share the day with our club. Every year, we take part to highlight the LGBTQ+ football community that is an integral part of the Chelsea family—be that fans, staff, or our allies, whoever you may be.

‘On behalf of everyone at Chelsea Pride, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you. Your presence and support today, and every day, make our community stronger and more vibrant. Our club thrives on diversity and inclusivity, and it's the dedication and passion of each member that truly makes a difference.

‘Pride is not just a celebration; it’s a statement of our commitment to equality, respect, and love. Together, we are building a future where everyone can feel safe, accepted, and proud of who they are. We are committed to the work ahead, not just during Pride Month but every single day. Thank you for being part of this journey and for making Chelsea not just a club, but a family.’

Kane Robbins from the Chelsea Foundation echoed Tracy’s sentiments: ‘It’s incredibly important for clubs and organisations like Chelsea FC and Chelsea Foundation to celebrate Pride and the LQBTQ+ community the way they continue to.

‘I’m very proud to have played a role in what was hopefully such a positive and memorable experience for thousands of people across London and beyond.’
