European record

This is the first occasion Celtic will compete in the group stage after progressing through qualifying. It is also the first time a Scottish club has reached the group stage since the format was introduced ahead of 2021/22 campaign.

Celtic first tasted UWCL action during that season but were knocked out in round one of qualifying by Spanish side Levante. In 2023/24, they were beaten by Valerenga on penalties, also in round one.

2024/25 so far…

Having claimed their first SWPL title last season, Celtic are unbeaten this campaign with six wins and one draw. Despite an impressive start, they sit third in the table behind Rangers and Glasgow, who have won all seven games thus far.

They have also reached the quarter-finals of the SWPL Cup thanks to a 7-0 win against Montrose in the round of 16, which is when they entered the domestic competition.

En route to making history and qualifying for the group stages, Celtic beat KuPS, Gintra and Vorksla Poltava in qualifying.

Squad

Celtic’s squad consists of homegrown Scottish players and players from further afield – with Wales, England, Ireland, USA, France, Portugal, Argentina, and Denmark all represented.

Their captain Kelly Clark has been signed to the club for over a decade and is a six-cap Scotland international.
