Zecira Musovic marked her 50th appearance for Chelsea with a 3-0 win against Celtic which sent the Blues through to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
The Swedish goalkeeper, who joined Chelsea in December 2020, reached a half-century of appearances for the club when she started in Wednesday night's victory against the Scottish champions at Stamford Bridge.
And while the 28-year-old says she wasn't aware of the milestone until one of her team-mates informed her, Musovic described how it feels to celebrate the individual achievement.
'I'm really proud,' Musovic said. 'I didn't know it. Niamh Charles came up to me and said: 'Congrats on your 50th appearance' and I was very surprised, but extremely happy and proud, of course.
'They are 50 appearances that are blood, sweat and tears, for sure. They have been great years and I look forward to even more with this team. Fifty games for this club is a special moment, and I'm happy it was Niamh who revealed that to me.'
Musovic has no plans to settle for only 50 appearances and has expressed a desire to keep improving in the years to come while representing the Blues.
'I want to improve every day,' the goalkeeper added. 'When I come to the training ground, I have my goals for that specific day. That's how I push myself and that's how I move forward. That's how I've been able to move forward for a lot of years now despite all the challenges along the way.
'I don't let the circumstances around me define my work and my progress on a daily basis, regardless of whether I'm playing or not. I want to be better every single day and that's my next goal.'
The win against Celtic means Sonia Bompastor's side have secured a place in the Champions League knockouts with two Group B matches to spare. It also extends our winning run to 11 wins from 11 across all competitions.
'It means a lot,' Musovic said. 'We take one game at a time and we want to win every game we're playing and want to have a good performance. We had a good performance against a good Celtic side. The next one is on Sunday and hopefully another win.'
'We have a special feeling in this group, 'Musovic added. 'We've got 11 straight wins which is based on the good work we do on a daily basis, but the strength of this team is to stay present and to take one game at a time.
'We've won against Celtic to stay top of the group and now our focus is on Manchester United on Sunday, which is a huge one.'
