The next Chelsea player to tell us about their first visit to America ahead of our pre-season tour this summer is Cobham graduate Lewis Hall, who will be visiting the States for the first time in a while...
'I went as a kid when I was two or three, but I obviously don’t remember too much of it. The first time I went properly was at Under-13s, I think, when we went to play in a tournament in Florida. It was called the ICC Futures or something like that.
'So we played out there and got to experience Florida. We had a bit of time to ourselves to go off and explore, plus we got to the final as well, so it was a good trip.
'It was just as the season finished, and we were out there for a week or two. It was really good, it was one of my favourite tours.
'It was okay with the heat when we were training, as we had a lot of time to ourselves when we could chill out or go in the pool, but it was difficult when we were playing the games. There was a sort of drinks break in the first half and again in the second half, and we had to get these wet towels over our heads.'
