Conor Gallagher is the next Chelsea player to share his memories of watching a game from the stands for the first time, and unsurprisingly he began with his beloved Blues...
One that sticks out is when I was a ball boy for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. I must have been about 12 or 13 and we were playing Everton. I am pretty sure we lost and I think Leighton Baines scored a free-kick.
I remember watching that from the side of the pitch, and there was Phil Neville - I’m remembering all the Everton players here! – and Phil Neville was talking really loudly because he was on the side where I was the ball boy. That is one of the memories I have.
I’m not sure I had much to do, you never do really, you get the ball two or three times if you are lucky. I remember I used to be quite nervous being a ball boy and to think about that now is crazy, but I used to really enjoy it.
